/When it came to their wedding, Matt, one of Josh's friends from Penn State, and Francesca, his lovely bride, threw tradition to the wind and decided to make their celebration all about having fun. Earlier this year, they eloped to Vegas (is it still eloping if everyone knows your plans??) and decided to throw a party back home in the outskirts of Washington DC with all of their friends and family when they returned. We were honored that they asked us to document last weekend's celebration with just a few photos of the two of them and their families and closest friends, and especially excited that since the event itself wasn't being photographed, we got the night off to enjoy the party!
I'm not usually big on ice sculptures, but this one was pretty awesome... bringing a little bit of Vegas to the East Coast. Their vow renewal and reception was held at the fabulous Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia, and the beautiful grounds (I love a good golf course) and dramatic storm clouds made for some perfect photos of the newlyweds...
